HC Deb 23 March 1970 vol 798 c267W
85. Mr. Dodds-Parker

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations have been made to other members of the United Nations since the declaration of a Republic in Rhodesia, for them to contribute to the Beira patrol; and what replies he has received from them.

Mr. Foley

None.

89. Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether, in view of the fact that during the last war when the Nazis purported to establish illegal governments on the majority of peoples in occupied territories the British Government assisted in establishing temporary governments in exile, he will initiate discussions to set up a Government for Rhodesia temporarily based in London.

Mr. Foley

I have nothing to add to the reply given to my hon. Friend on 19th March.—[Vol. 798, c. 178–9].
