HC Deb 23 March 1970 vol 798 c271W
96. Mr. Willey

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what action he now proposes to take regarding the shortage of full-time hospital pharmacists in the National Health Service.

Mr. Crossman

An agreement was reached by Committee C of the Pharmaceutical Whitley Council on 11th March which provides for substantial increases in pay for hospital pharmacists. Longer term action will depend on the outcome of my consultations on the recommendations of the Working Party on the Hospital Pharmaceutical Service to which I referred in my reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Liverpool, West Derby on 25th February.—[Vol. 796, c.355–7.]
