§ Mr. Grimondasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will invite the Governments of Norway, Denmark and Eire to a conference to discuss a common policy for the conservation of stocks and the protection of fishing limits on the basis that these countries enter into negotiations with Great Britain for entry into the Common Market.
§ Mr. HoyNo. We do not consider that such discussions would serve any useful purpose, as the international commissions already provide adequate machinery for the discussion of conservation problems, and the E.E.C. has not yet reached agreement on a common fisheries policy.
§ Mr. Grimondasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what policy Her Majesty's Government will recommend as regards fishery limits in 304W negotiations for Great Britain's entry into the Common Market.
§ Mr. HoyAs the E.E.C. has not yet agreed its common policy for fisheries, it would be premature to take a position on this question.
