§ Mr. RossThe centre for rheumatic diseases at Baird Street in Glasgow is the main unit for the treatment of rheumatism and arthritis, although some treatment is given at other hospitals in the area. The long-term intention is that the services provided at Baird Street should be transferred to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary on the completion of the first phase of the redevelopment there. Meanwhile the Western Regional Hospital Board and the Board of Management are examining proposals to increase the X-ray accommodation at the centre and have recently arranged for additional clinics to be held there to relieve the pressure on the existing clinic.
