HC Deb 20 March 1970 vol 798 c247W
Mr. Geraint Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for Wales why he has refused to approve the direction notices served by the Denbighshire County Council in order to prevent further industrial use of the Colwyn Bay railway goods yard, for which no planning permission has been granted.

Mr. George Thomas

The reasons given by the council did not appear to justify my taking the exceptional step of withdrawing the rights conferred by Class XVII A of the General Development Order 1963. It is, of course, open to the council at any time to submit a fresh direction for my consideration if it feels that it has additional material evidence.
