HC Deb 19 March 1970 vol 798 cc159-60W
36. Mr. Woof

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity how many disabled people during the last four years have for the first time placed their names on the Disabled Register as a consequence of becoming redundant.

Mr. Dell

I regret that this information is not available.

37. Mr. Woof

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity if she will estimate the number of disabled people in employment who are not registered on the Disabled Register, and who do not therefore count for quota purposes as far as their employers are concerned.

Mr. Dell

Disabled workers can only be identified by my Department if they apply for registration. Since registration is voluntary I have no information on which to base an estimate of the number of eligible workers who do not choose to register.
