§ Mr. Ashtonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many applications have been made by Nottinghamshire County Council for a share of the £15 million which he has set aside for the replacement of old and grossly sub-standard premises; and for which schools they have applied.
§ Miss BaconThe Authority proposed eight projects at a gross cost of about £940,000. The schools mainly involved are:
- 1. Worksop, St. John's C.E. Boys and Girls Primary Schools—replacement.
- 2. Arnold Calverton Road Infant School—replacement.
- 3. Sutton-in-Ashfield Primary School—relief of Forest Glade Junior and Infant Schools.
- 4. Worksop, Manton Infant School—relief of Newcastle Street Junior School.
- 5. Harworth C.E. School—replacement Bircotes North Border Infant School—improvement.
- 6. Mansfield, Brunts Grammar School—replacement.
- 7. Annesley County Primary School—replacement.
- 8. Kimberley Larkfields County Primary School—relief of Junior Girls and Infant School.
