§ Dr. John DunwoodyChicken is a safe food provided it is cooked and handled properly; comparatively few cases of food poisoning are associated with poultry. Some firms give advice about thawing and cooking on their labels, and in co-operation with the trade we have initiated studies to establish whether specific guidance to users can be recommended for general adoption by the trade.
