Walker-Smithasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will define the term "European political unity" as used in Government publications and Ministerial speeches, stating what form of unity is envisaged and with what supporting institutions and mechanisms.
§ Mr. LuardThe views of Her Majesty's Government on this subject have been set out on many occasions, most recently in the debate on 24th and 25th February. They were made clear to the Communities in the statement my right hon. Friend the then Foreign Secretary made to the Western European Council on 4th July, 1967. I have nothing to add to these statements.
