HC Deb 16 March 1970 vol 798 c45W
Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that the provisions of the Criminal Justice Act 1967 relating to the reporting of committal proceedings are defective in that proceedings can be reported in full in foreign newspapers; and if he will therefore amend the Act so as to exclude foreign journalists from proceedings which may not be reported in this country.

Mr. Elystan Morgan

My right hon. Friend does not consider that such an amendment to the law is necessary.
