HC Deb 13 March 1970 vol 797 c406W
Mr. Anderson

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what estimate he has made of the shortfall in the number of physiotherapists available in Welsh hospitals; and in which area the shortfall is greatest.

Mr. George Thomas

The hospital authorities in Wales inform me that they have vacancies for 90 physiotherapists or their whole time equivalent. The shortfall is greatest in the Newport and East Monmouthshire and the Merthyr and Aberdare Hospital Management Committees' areas.
