HC Deb 12 March 1970 vol 797 c354W
26. Mr. Farr

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if, as a result of his further consultations with cricketing authorities, he will now announce the manner in which the bill for additional police services during the South African cricket tour will be met.

Mr. Callaghan

The chief officers of police concerned will discuss the provision of special police services with the individual clubs.

64. Mr. Milne

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what further talks have now taken place between his Department and the cricketing authorities in regard to illegal actions by spectators during the forthcoming tour of the South African cricket team; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Callaghan

I am at present awaiting information from the Cricket Council about such matters as the precautions to be taken by the clubs and the arrangements they intend to make for admission.
