HC Deb 12 March 1970 vol 797 c371W
72. Dr. Gray

asked the Attorney-General what action has been recommended on A. Warhol's film, "Flesh", by the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The Attorney-General

The Director of Public Prosecutions has advised the Metropolitan Police that criminal proceedings in respect of this film are not justified, but the papers have been referred to the Greater London Council to consider whether proceedings should be taken under the cinema licensing provisions of the Cinematograph Act, 1909.
