asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will now agree to amend his proposal to include the North Riding of Yorkshire in the Northumberland Regional Planning Area under Section 35 of the Children and Young Persons Act, 1969.

Yes. My right hon. Friend has now made an order giving effect to the wish of the North Riding County Council that the administrative county should be included in the Yorkshire Planning Area.
