Mr. Gregor Mackenzie

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many policemen, of all ranks, were in service in Scotland in 1960 and in each year to the latest convenient date.

(3) how many civilians, excluding traffic wardens, were employed by police forces in 1960, 1964 and 1969, respectively.

Pocket radio sets were first used in Scotland in 1966. By the end of 1969, 1,942 sets were in use.
