Mr. Hobden

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what proposals he has received from Brighton Corporation for the setting up of general improvement areas in Brighton.

Mr. Greenwood

None, and the Corporation does not require formal approval before declaring general improvement areas, but the Ministry will be glad to have informal discussions at an appropriate time.
