Mr. Maxwell-Hyslop

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer on what dates the locations for each of the eight Schedule E computer centres, whose locations have been decided, were decided; and when he expects to be able to announce the location of the ninth computer centre which is to be somewhere in the Midlands.

Cardiff June, 1966
Shipley August, 1968
Manchester December, 1966
Washington June, 1969
Edinburgh August, 1968
Portsmouth September, 1969

The site of the centre to serve the Midlands is still under consideration, and I am unable at this stage to say when the decision will be announced.
