asked the Attorney General what is the present strength of the High Court Bench, set out in Divisions with the corresponding establishment provided by law.

The Attorney-General

In addition to the Heads of Divisions, there are at present 66 puisne Judges of the High Court. Ten are attached to the Chancery Division, 39 to the Queen's Bench Division and 17 to the Probate, Divorce and Admiralty Division. The maximum number authorised by statute is 70 and the minimum 25. There is no separate maximum for each Division but the minimum for the Chancery Division is five, for the Queen's Bench Division. 17, and for the Probate, Divorce and Admiralty Division, three.
