§ Mr. Chatawayasked the Minister of Overseas Development whether she will institute an inquiry into the environmental consequences of the proposed hydro-electric scheme at Murchison Falls in Uganda before any capital grants or guarantees are given by Her Majesty's Government.
§ Mr. WhitakerThe question does not arise in relation to capital grants because I have not been asked to provide capital aid for this scheme. If the question should arise in relation to guarantees, this would be a matter for my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade.
