§ 100. Mr. Malcolm MacMillanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what progress has been made with provision of a jetty in the Isle of Scalpay; and what is its estimated total cost and his Department's contribution.
§ Mr. RossMy formal authorisation to Inverness County Council to undertake this work has been issued and I understand that the Council is well forward with the preparation of draft contract documents, though certain other statutory consents have yet to be received. The cost of the pier is estimated at some £43,000, towards which I have offered a grant of 75 per cent.
