§ Mrs. Gwyneth DunwoodyTo provide the basis for estimates of the travel 253W account in the balance of payments, and of parts of the civil aviation and shipping accounts; to provide an analysis of overseas visitors to the United Kingdom for the use of those concerned with the development of tourism; and to provide the Registrars General with information about the nature of migration, both inward and outward. It has been carried out much in its present form since 1962, and is still needed.
