HC Deb 06 March 1970 vol 797 c190W
Mr. Leslie Huckfield

asked the Minister of Transport if he will take steps to secure the erection of crash brarriers along the central reservations and steep-sided sections of the newly opened Bedworth bypass.

Mr. Bob Brown

Warwickshire County Council as highway authority for this principal road has provided about 2,500 lineal yards of safety fence in conformity with current standards for protection at high embankments and obstructions. On present criteria a crash barrier in the central reserve is not justified.
