§ Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Minister of Overseas Development whether she will consider the feasibility of producing some short films, suitable for television coverage, as part of an educative programme on the meaning, purpose, and worth of the overseas aid effort.
§ Mr. WhitakerThis is considered annually when publicity estimates are prepared. While we have concluded that for the present we cannot afford to add to the existing stock of excellent film material on aid available both from home and from international sources without any guarantee that the new film would be used by the television networks, we are always glad, however, to discuss new treatments with television and radio producers, and to assist with research material and facilities for any programmes on development issues.
