asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the number of summary convictions and convictions on indictment in Scotland under Section 1 of the Prevention of Crime Act, 1953 in the last three years.

The number of persons convicted in Scotland of contravention of Section 1 of the Prevention of Crime Act, 1953 in the years 1966 to 1968 are shown in the table below. (Information is not yet available for 1969.)
