§ Mr. Bishopasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will seek powers to ensure that the General Certificate of Education and the Certificate of Secondary Education examinations are adequately set and supervised and papers marked, in view of the threatened boycott by teachers' organisations.
§ Mr. Edward ShortAs a result of the provisional agreement on teachers' salaries reached on 3rd March, the teachers' organisations have given an assurance that, among other things, the ban on the invigilation of examinations will be lifted.
