§ Mr. Frank Allaunasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will now take steps to prevent, by means of Section 91 of the Housing Act, 1957, those local authorities which have a housing shortage in their area from reducing their housing programmes.
§ Mr. GreenwoodAs my hon. Friend knows, discussions are in progress with a number of housing authorities whose rate of house building has recently given cause for concern. Consideration of any formal action under the section to which my hon. Friend refers must await the outcome of those discussions.
