§ Mr. Denis HowellI understand that the present Greater London Council wishes to bring its rents to a level which in its view corresponds to the fair rents for regulated private tenants. Policy on rents is by law a matter for each local authority and I do not know in detail how the Council applies its policy to particular dwellings.
