HC Deb 02 March 1970 vol 797 c16W
Commander Pursey

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will ensure that the closed Hornsea Children's Convalescent Hospital, East Yorkshire, is not reopened as a children's home-cum-hospital, in view of its isolated position and limited transport facilities, whereby poor parents are unable to pay long-distance fares to accompany their children and visit them frequently to ensure they are receiving proper care and medical attention.

Mr. Crossman

The future of this hospital is now under consideration by the Leeds Regional Hospital Board who will have regard to factors such as those which my hon. and gallant Friend has mentioned.
