asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what are his plans for the rebuilding of the Whittington Hospital, London, N.19.

Mr. Alison

The North West Metropolitan Regional Hospital Board proposes to develop Whittington Hospital as a district general hospital and substantial rebuilding is envisaged over a number of years. Detailed planning of the initial stages, including a psychiatric block and accident and emergency and out-patient departments, is in progress.
