Mr. O'Halloran

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the extent of the shortage of trained nursing staff at the Whittington Hospital; and how many vacancies exist there at the present time.

On 17th July, 1970, there were 26 vacancies for nursing staff, about half being for trained nurses and midwives.
