§ Mr. KirkSome of the detonators for arming the warheads of certain submarine launched torpedoes have recently been found, by routine inspection, to have become shock sensitive. Pending their replacement restrictions have been placed on their use in peacetime so as to avoid any risk at all to the boats concerned. 245W However, our torpedoes and their warheads remain fully effective and would be used normally in operations in war.
