Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Lord President of the Council when he will announce his plans for the implementation of the recommendation of the Committee on Procedure in the last Parliament concerning machinery for the control of public expenditure.

Mr. Whitelaw

The consideration of these recommendations of the Committee on Procedure forms an important part of the general review of the Select Committee structure of the House which is now going forward. I hope to bring forward proposals on this after the Recess.
