Mr. Barry Jones

asked the President of the Board of Trade what is his policy regarding the rôle of Hawarden Airport in his pattern for civil aviation in the North-West area.

Mr. Corfield

This aerodrome, which is leased by Hawker Siddeley Aviation Ltd. from the Ministry of Technology, serves the needs of the company and is available to meet the demand for air transport of the surrounding area. I have no reason to suppose that this situation will or should be changed.
