asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity if he will publish his estimate of the increase in the cost of living due to the increase in fuel prices.

During the period 17th June, 1969 to 16th June, 1970 the index for the fuel and light group of the General Index of Retail Prices rose by 5.4 per cent. This rise was equivalent to about 0.3 of the rise of 5.9 per cent. in the General Index of Retail Prices during the same period.
