HC Deb 23 July 1970 vol 804 c184W
59. Mr. Brewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will review the arrangements at London Airport for examining Asiatic and other coloured passengers who are solely in transit to a foreign destination and seek to minimise inconvenience caused to them.

Mr. Sharples

Detailed examination of a Commonwealth citizen in transit to another country is normally unnecessary once it is established that he has both the means and the intention of proceeding at once to that country and is assured of entry there.
