§ 71. Mr. Huntasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what reply he has sent to the letter addressed to the Prime Minister by the Institute of Directors on 25th June regarding the need for reform of the taxation system.
§ Mr. Maurice MacmillanMy right hon. Friend the Prime Minister replied to this letter on 9th July, saying that he had drawn it to the attention of Treasury Ministers. The Institute's views192W on the need to simplify the tax system and reduce the burden of taxation are shared by the Government.
