§ 69. Mr. Boscawenasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if, in view of the local concern resulting from the recent Blues Festival at Shepton Mallet which 150,000 young people attended, swamping the facilities and organisation provided by the promoter, and which the police were unable to control, and causing damage to property and endangering health, he will call for a report from the chief constable on the matter; and if he will make a statement.
