How many times aeroplanes passed over the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea during the month of June and the first fourteen days of July, and how many committed a breach of the low-flying regulations.
§ LORD DENHAMNo records are kept of the aircraft movements over particular boroughs. However, on 18 of the 44 days there were very few flights over the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea because take-off and landing at Heathrow was to the East, and aircraft taking off in that direction turn off before reaching the Royal Borough. On the other 26 days the Borough would have been overflown by most of the aircraft approaching Runway 28R, about 3,000 flights, and by some of the aircraft approaching Runway 28L. In the period there were no breaches of the low-flying regulations over the Barough, and no aircraft were authorised by air traffic control to descend below 2,000 feet before joining the glide path for landing approach to Heathrow.
