asked the President of the Board of Trade how many unqualified accountants have received authority to practise by his Department since the implementation of the Companies Act, 1967.

Since 27th January, 1968, the date on which the Sections of the Companies Act, 1967, relating to auditors came into operation, the Board of Trade have authorised 245 persons to be appointed auditors of companies as having obtained adequate

of Trade officials and the British Airports Authority on the terms of a transfer of Turnhouse Airport to the Authority was founded on the assumption that a new runway and terminal complex would be built. In consequence of the recent decision in favour of a new runway, discussions with B.A.A. have been resumed as a matter of urgency with a view to a transfer by 1st April, 1971. In the meantime preliminary work on these developments is proceeding as quickly as possible.
