asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many applications have been received by the Scottish Tourist Board for assistance for capital projects; and what is the total cost of these projects for the hotel industry in West Dunbartonshire and in Scotland, respectively.

The first Report of the Scottish Tourist Board, presented to Parliament today, shows that 140 applications had been received up to 31st March. 1970 for projects estimated to cost £11,488,000. I am informed by the Board that four of these relate to hotel projects, costing £296,000, in West Dunbartonshire.
