asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she will extend the methods involved in the teaching of reading to include students at training colleges undertaking study for teaching in junior schools.

many other old schools which have to remain in use, it is unsatisfactory in some respects. When it can be replaced will depend on the resources available.

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is the estimated cost of providing the additional school buildings required to form a comprehensive unit at the Mexborough Grammar School.

Under the local education authority's scheme for the reorganisation of secondary education in this part of the West Riding, additions to a number of secondary schools would be necessary to enable Mexborough Grammar School to become comprehensive. I cannot give an estimate of the total cost.
