HC Deb 22 July 1970 vol 804 c139W
Mr. Gregor Mackenzie

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will consider making an investigation into the adequacy of public transport in Scotland; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

The adequacy of public transport is kept continuously under review by the bodies concerned with its provision, including in respect of bus services the Traffic Commissioners. I do not see advantage in a special investigation.
