HC Deb 22 July 1970 vol 804 cc141-2W
90. Mr. John Hannam

asked the Minister of Transport if he will take steps to amend the Road Traffic Act, 1960, so as to require, subject to certain exceptions in the case of motor cyclists, users of motor vehicles to be insured in respect of liability for death or bodily injury to passengers, and for connected purposes.

Mr. Peyton

I want to study the problems involved carefully before coming to a decision.

Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Minister of Transport what is his policy on the implementation of the 1968 Kent Committee report on road passenger insurance.

Mr. Peyton

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Exeter (Mr. John Hannam) today.
