HC Deb 22 July 1970 vol 804 c123W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the President of the Board of Trade (1) on how many occasions and from whom requests were made for investigations into Rolls Razor Limited; and if he will make a statement;

(2) whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT in chronological form the dates when his Department were requested to cause an investigation into the affairs of Rolls Razor Limited and the other Bloom companies and details of those who requested these investigations.

Mr. Anthony Grant

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer which I gave to him on 8th July. Only two written requests for an investigation of the affairs of Rolls Razor Ltd. have been traced, both in January, 1960 by shareholders who have sold their shares. The Board were satisfied that they would not be justified in acceding to the requests. It is not the Board's practice to disclose the names of complainants without their permission.—[Vol. 803, c. 67.]
