HC Deb 22 July 1970 vol 804 c145W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that in roads for which he is responsible in the West Ham, North, constituency free access by fire-engines, ambulances and other public service vehicles is impeded by the parking, sometimes all day and all night on both sides of the roads, of lorries, trucks and motor coaches; and whether he will take steps in the interests of safety and the flow of traffic to have these obstructions removed.

Mr. Peyton

There are no roads for which I am directly responsible in the constituency of West Ham, North. The regulation of traffic and the control of parking on roads in that constituency is a matter for the Greater London Council.
