§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that in roads for which he is responsible in the West Ham, North, constituency free access by fire-engines, ambulances and other public service vehicles is impeded by the parking, sometimes all day and all night on both sides of the roads, of lorries, trucks and motor coaches; and whether he will take steps in the interests of safety and the flow of traffic to have these obstructions removed.
§ Mr. PeytonThere are no roads for which I am directly responsible in the constituency of West Ham, North. The regulation of traffic and the control of parking on roads in that constituency is a matter for the Greater London Council.
