§ Mr. Gwynoro Jonesasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will obtain from chief constables of Welsh police forces reports on the precautions they propose to take at the next General Election, and at any by-election held in the meantime in Wales, to safeguard candidates from threatened violence such as occurred on the night of the declaration of the results during the General Election of 1970.
§ Mr. SharplesI would refer the hon. Member to the Answer I gave yesterday to a Question from the hon. Member for Cardigan (Mr. Elystan Morgan). The police will do all they can to deal with any threatened breaches of the peace on future occasions.
