HC Deb 21 July 1970 vol 804 c88W
Mr. Dempsey

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware of the further decay in the structure which has developed in the Thrashbush Old Folk's Home, Airdrie; if he will now give approval to the proposals submitted to him for the replacement of this home; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

I am aware that the structure of Thrashbush House is deteriorating. In May, 1969, the local authority was given provisional approval to make a start in 1971–72 on a replacement scheme. I am about to review the social work building programme and will give full consideration to the local authority's request that this project should be allowed to start in the current year.
