§ Mr. Dempseyasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware of the further decay in the structure which has developed in the Thrashbush Old Folk's Home, Airdrie; if he will now give approval to the proposals submitted to him for the replacement of this home; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellI am aware that the structure of Thrashbush House is deteriorating. In May, 1969, the local authority was given provisional approval to make a start in 1971–72 on a replacement scheme. I am about to review the social work building programme and will give full consideration to the local authority's request that this project should be allowed to start in the current year.
