§ Mr. Anthony StodartI cannot add to the statement made at the Conference in Luxembourg on 30th June, 1970, by my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, in which he said that the task is to work out terms of entry which are fair, and referred to the list of questions which we wish to see covered in negotiations.
§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether, in the event of Great Britain joining the Common Market, the Government or the Commission of the European Economic Community will be responsible for the financial arrangements for the payment of compensation to small farmers who have invested in intensive livestock production; and what arrangements the Government will propose to replace such payments as remoteness grants.
§ Mr. Anthony StodartThese are matters which will have to be considered at the appropriate time in the light of progress in our negotiations for entry.
