asked the Minister for the Civil Service whether he will take into account the quality of the rail and road communications both southwards and northwards from Corby and Kettering when planning the movement of Government Departments from London and other large cities.

The quality of communications is one of the chief factors we take into account in considering potential sites for dispersal. I can of course give no undertaking with reference to particular towns.
