§ Mrs. ThatcherIn the academic year 1968–69 there were 6,017 pre-clinical and 7,024 clinical training places in medical schools in Great Britain. Immediate plans are to raise the present annual number of pre-clinical entry places of about 2,700 to 3,700 by 1975.
